Brian C. Russell is a 23 year real estate veteran focusing on retail, industrial, commercial and investment real estate in both the investment, disposition and leasing operations.

Mr. Russell started his career for 9 years as a real estate consultant for many governmental agencies throughout Southern California. He was on the management team for 12 years at the Long Beach Coldwell Banker and Coldwell Banker Commercial offices. For the last 3 years he was employed at REP Commercial, Inc. in Irvine, CA where he worked on properties throughout Southern California and Nevada.

In July 2007, Mr. Russell accepted the position of Vice President at Blair Commercial Real Estate in downtown Long Beach. He is focusing his real estate expertise on the outstanding investment and leasing opportunities right in Long Beach and the surrounding communities. This focus will provide an unparallel level of service to his real estate investment clients that own local property. Knowledge, Integrity and Service are the hallmarks of Mr. Russell’s commercial real estate practice.

Blair Commercial Real Estate has a property management division right within the company which provides our investor clients a one stop shop for investment, leasing, disposition and management services for their property.

Our offices are centrally located at Broadway and Pine in downtown Long Beach within close proximity to fine legal, accounting, design and engineering services that may be required during their property ownership.

Community Involvement
Mr. Russell currently focuses his community involvement around young people.

On the policy side, he sits on the Board of Directors for the Long Beach Day Nursery. On the program side, he is a Scoutmaster for Troop 126 of the Long Beach Area Council Boy Scouts of America. On the fund raising side, he serves as the Chair for the Long Beach Metropolitan YMCA’s Alumni Group. Testament to Mr. Russell’s trustworthy approach to real estate brokerage, many non-profit organizations ask Mr. Russell to be their real estate broker when leasing, buying or selling their property.

Municipal Appointments
Mr. Russell was appointed, by Mayor Beverly O’Neill and confirmed by the City Council to serve on Long Beach Transit’s Board of Directors which operates the Long Beach bus and water taxi system. He served two, four year terms of which, three years he spent as Chairman of the Board. The operating and capital budgets exceed $85 million annually with always operating without a deficit.

Complimenting his municipal transit leadership, Mayor O’Neill tapped Mr. Russell to serve on Los Angeles County’s  Metropolitan Transit Agency’s Independent Citizen’s Advisory Committee which oversees one percent (Prop. A & C funds) of the sales tax collected in Los Angeles County to confirm those revenues are used for transit related purposes. These funds annually are between $1.2 -1.5 Billion in sales tax revenue.

Mr. Russell was also appointed by Mayor O’Neill to serve on the Strategic Plan 2010 and served as Chair of the Business Growth sub-committee during that process.

Service Organization
Long Beach Rotary is a focal point for municipal service for Mr. Russell as he is serving on a number of committees and is a Paul Harris Fellow.

Mr. Russell currently holds the GRI and CRS designations and is a CCIM candidate.

Industry Leadership
Mr. Russell served as a State Director for the California Association of REALTORS for a number of years representing the regional Pacific West Association of REALTORS. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Southern California Multiple Listing Service. Mr. Russell also served on the national Retail Group for Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate.

Currently, Mr. Russell serves on the Board of Directors of the Long Beach Commercial Real Estate Council and has been elected as the 2008 President for the Council.
